Why You Were Never Meant to Go Through Life Alone - Week 2

Life was never meant to be a solo journey. From the beginning, God designed us for connection — to walk in relationship with Him and with one another. In today's message, Charity Holden unpacks the powerful truth that you were created for community, not isolation.

Drawing from Exodus 17:8–13, we see Moses grow weary during battle, needing the support of Aaron and Hur to hold up his arms so Israel could prevail. This vivid moment is a reminder: even the strongest among us can’t stand alone. Victory often comes through the hands of others holding us up.

This sermon explores three essential truths about biblical community:

Truth #1 – God adopted you into His family (Ephesians 1:5)
You are not an outsider — you’ve been intentionally brought into God’s family. Following Jesus isn’t meant to be a lonely road.

Truth #2 – Family is where we learn to love (John 13:34)
Real love is action. It means showing up for one another — encouraging, serving, and carrying each other’s burdens.

Truth #3 – Community takes effort (Colossians 3:12–14)
Relationships require patience, forgiveness, and intentional love. Community may be messy, but it’s how we grow and reflect Christ together.

You were made for connection. Let this message inspire you to lean into the strength of godly relationships — because life on purpose is life in community.
