He’s Got The Power - Week 5

In this powerful sermon, "He’s Got The Power," the fifth installment in the "He Gets Us" series, we explore the divine and unparalleled power that Jesus possessed—and how He used it to serve, save, and guide us. Jesus, as the perfect reflection of God, demonstrated an extraordinary oneness with the Father, as stated in John 10:30: "The Father and I are one." He is not only the Creator and Sustainer of all things (John 1:3, Colossians 1:17) but also holds power over nature and death itself, as seen in His calming of the storm (Matthew 8:26) and His resurrection of Lazarus (John 11:25).

This sermon delves into how Jesus, with all authority in heaven and on earth (Matthew 28:18), forgave sins as only God could (Mark 2:5-7), and displayed His eternal and almighty nature (Revelation 1:8). Yet, despite holding all power, Jesus chose humility over dominance, showing us that true greatness lies in serving others, as He taught in Mark 10:42-45.

Through His example, Jesus challenges us to break free from the grip of materialism (Matthew 6:19-21) and live with the selfless love He exemplified (John 15:13). This sermon encourages us to live daily with the same selflessness and love that Jesus displayed, pointing the world to the power of His love.
