While he partied with his nobles, praising false gods, the hand of God wrote on the wall, declaring the end of his reign. The inscription warned that our days are numbered, our lives will be weighed, and earthly kingdoms will fall. As citizens of heaven, we are called to focus upward, not around us. Our faith should be anchored in the eternal, not the temporary, and our hearts should be set on God’s purpose, not fear.
