When the storms of life rage, God doesn’t leave us to face the winds alone—He offers us shelter. In part four of our Storm Chasers series, “Taking Shelter,” we’ll explore three powerful and life-giving shelters that God provides for His people in the midst of trouble.
First, we’ll uncover the Growth Shelter, where God strengthens us through His Word. As we rid ourselves of spiritual distractions (1 Peter 2:1-3), we learn to crave the pure spiritual milk that nourishes us. Through Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16-17), we are taught, corrected, and equipped to endure any storm.
Next, we’ll step into the Community Shelter—the spiritual family God is building with Christ as the cornerstone (1 Peter 2:4-8). This is where we find encouragement, accountability, and purpose. By staying connected (Hebrews 10:24-25), we help carry each other through life's challenges.
Finally, we’ll rest in the Jesus Shelter, our ultimate refuge. Jesus invites the weary to come, learn from Him, and find true rest (Matthew 11:28-30). In Him, we find peace not just for the moment, but for eternity.
And as we abide in these shelters, we are called to become a shelter for others—a reflection of God’s mercy, grace, and goodness (1 Peter 2:9-12, Matthew 7:1-5).
Don’t miss this opportunity to discover how to take cover in God’s provision—and become a place of safety for someone else.
