Weathering The Storm - Week 6

Life’s storms can leave us feeling isolated, overwhelmed, and hopeless. But what if the very winds threatening to break us are the same ones God wants to use to build us? In “Weathering The Storm,” we confront three common lies we believe when trouble hits: No one cares. I can face it alone. It’s too late to ask for help. These lies fuel fear, pride, and silence—but God offers unwavering truth in their place: He cares deeply about what you’re going through. Pride will sink you, but humility invites help. It’s never too late to call on Him.

Scripture reminds us that storms are inevitable—but not insurmountable. 1 Peter 3 encourages us to stand firm in righteousness, not reacting to the foolishness of others or the pressure around us. Instead, we’re called to pursue peace, speak truth, and live with clear consciences. Storms are best weathered in community, not isolation. As Galatians 6:2 teaches, “Share each other’s burdens.”

Jesus doesn’t want you living in the ruins of your past storms. He wants to help you rebuild—on Him, the unshakable Rock (Matthew 7:24-27). And once you've endured, your story becomes someone else’s survival guide. As 1 Peter 4 calls us, use your storm for service, your wounds for witnessing, and your healing for helpi
