How to Fight For Your Marriage

Join us for the fourth installment of our sermon series, "Rock'em Sock'em Relationships," titled "How to Fight For Your Marriage." Every relationship experiences a cycle: Attraction, Behave, Commitment, and Drift. Where is your relationship right now? We explore how to transition from "Me" to "We" by embracing two key principles.

Firstly, realize your uniqueness. Psalm 139:13-14 reminds us that we are wonderfully complex creations of God. Secondly, replenish your relationship with AWE: Affection, Warmth, and Encouragement. Romans 12:10 and 1 Corinthians 7:3 highlight the importance of genuine affection and warmth in marriage, while Proverbs 16:23-24 urges us to use wise and kind words.

Additionally, we address communication blocks, emphasizing the need for unity and humility (Philippians 2:2-4). Start by shifting the conversation from negativity to hope and dreams. Lean into Jesus for peace and hope, following His example of humility and obedience (Philippians 2:5-8). Join us as we learn practical ways to strengthen and fight for our marriages.
