You’ve Got a Friend in Him – Palm Sunday 2026

“You’ve Got a Friend in Him – Palm Sunday 2026” brings our You’ve Got a Friend in Me series to a powerful and personal close by revealing Jesus as the ultimate, faithful Friend. While many friendships fade when life becomes difficult, Jesus proves that true friendship shows up when it’s costly—and stays even when the road leads to sacrifice.

On Palm Sunday, the crowd celebrated Jesus as King, shouting praises as He rode into Jerusalem. Yet even in that moment of triumph, Jesus knew the cost that lay ahead. He wasn’t carried by the excitement of the crowd but compelled by love and obedience. He chose the cross, demonstrating that the greatest expression of friendship is laying down one’s life for others.

This message reminds us that Jesus didn’t walk away when He was betrayed, denied, or abandoned. When others scattered, He stayed. His love remained steady, faithful, and unshaken. That same love is extended to us today—not because we’ve earned it, but because He freely gives it.

As we reflect on His friendship, we are invited not only to receive His love but to reflect it. Because Jesus stayed, we can stay. Because He loves us unconditionally, we can love others in the same way—especially when it’s inconvenient or uncomfortable.

This Palm Sunday, we lift up Jesus—the Friend who became our Savior—and embrace the call to live out a faith that shows up, stands firm, and loves without limits.
