For the past several years, we have absolutely loved hosting our Red, White & Boom Celebration and welcoming our neighbors onto our property. It has become one of our favorite community traditions, giving us the opportunity to connect with friends, families, and neighbors from all across our city.

Our hope was to do it again this year. Unfortunately, we encountered several new challenges that we simply were not able to overcome in time.

As you may or may not know, our property is in the permitting process of construction to add additional parking and prepare for future building expansion. These improvements are necessary because the number of people utilizing our facility on a weekly basis continues to grow, and we want to be able to better serve our community for years to come.

At the same time, attendance at our Red, White & Boom Celebration has grown dramatically. Over the past few years, the event has approached nearly 5,000 people. While we are incredibly grateful for that response, we reached a point where our facility, available parking, surrounding roadways, and overall infrastructure could no longer safely support an event of that size.

Rather than push forward and create an unsafe environment for families, first responders, volunteers, and our neighbors, we have elected to pause the event for the time being.

Please know this decision was not made lightly. We love this event and the opportunity it provides to bring our community together. Our goal is not to end it, but to find a better way to host it in the future. If you know of a great southside location that you are connected with please email info to info@innovationchurch.cc

To that end, we are actively exploring partnerships with Parks & Recreation, local school systems, and other venues that have the infrastructure, parking capacity, and space necessary to safely accommodate an event of this size. We are also excited about future opportunities on our property, including the possibility of a South Side Farmers Market and other community-focused gatherings that can continue to serve our growing city.

Thank you for your understanding, your support, and for making Red, White & Boom such a special tradition. We look forward to what the future holds and hope to celebrate with you again soon.
