Mens Breakfast

Saturday, October 31st (9-10am) 

Men,

There’s always something about heading into a new year that gets me excited. A new year gives us a chance to look ahead, reset some things, and ask ourselves where we’re going and, maybe more importantly, who we’re becoming.

As we finish out 2026 and prepare for the year ahead, I want to spend our remaining Men’s Breakfasts talking about exactly that.

We’re going to work through some of the principles from Gene Getz’s book The Measure of a Man and look at the picture Scripture gives us of a godly, maturing man.

Because if we’re honest, all of us have some kind of measuring stick.

We measure ourselves by our success, our jobs, our finances, our marriages, our parenting, our accomplishments—and sometimes we just measure ourselves against the guy sitting next to us.

But what if we stopped asking, “How do I measure up compared to everyone else?” and started asking, “How does the man I am today compare to the man God is calling me to become?”

That’s what I want us to wrestle with together as we close out this year.

We’ll talk honestly about our character, self-control, relationships, influence, and legacy—not because any of us have arrived, but because none of us should be content staying where we are.

And this Saturday comes with a BONUS ROUND for anyone interested and able to stick around!

As many of you know, we’ve hit another hurdle getting our modular buildings transported. One of the issues has been the weight of the buildings, so we’ve had to start removing drywall from the exterior walls to lighten them up.

Translation: we need a few guys who have some aggression to get out.

After breakfast and our discussion, those who are able can head down to the buildings with us and do some demolition. If we get four guys, I think we could knock it out in about two hours. If we get more, it should go even faster.

There is absolutely no pressure to stay for the demo. Come to breakfast either way! But if you're able to help, it would be a HUGE help in getting us through this last stretch and getting these buildings moving.

If you’re helping with demo and have a crowbar/pry bar or Sawzall/reciprocating saw, bring it with you.

Let’s eat together, grow together, and then maybe tear some stuff apart together.
