Dear Innovation,

As we celebrate Black History Month, we acknowledge that our congregation may not yet reflect the full tapestry of racial diversity that enriches our wider community. However, let this be a moment of reflection and an opportunity to delve into the incredible contributions made by individuals from various backgrounds who have played a vital role in shaping our church over the years.

While our congregation may not be racially diverse at this time, we recognize that our shared heritage is comprised of diverse voices, experiences, and talents that have collectively built the foundation upon which we stand today. It's an opportune time for all of us to look back and appreciate the multitude of individuals who, irrespective of their background, have poured their hearts and souls into the growth and prosperity of our church community.

This month, we wanted to highlight another journey through church's history, celebrating the stories of those who have dedicated themselves to the betterment of our spiritual home. Their contributions, whether through leadership, service, or artistic expression, have left an enduring impact on the fabric of our congregation.

While we aspire to foster a more racially diverse congregation in the future, we also recognize the importance of appreciating and understanding the rich history that already exists within our church walls. It is through this understanding that we can truly embrace the strength derived from the diverse experiences and perspectives that have shaped us.

In the spirit of unity and shared heritage, let's take this opportunity to learn, appreciate, and celebrate the mosaic of stories that have collectively contributed to the vibrancy of our church community. As part of our celebration, we invite you to explore a captivating series on Right Now Media that delves into the inspiring stories of individuals who have contributed to the church over the years.
