Purim or the Feast of Esther is a Jewish holiday celebrating the saving of the Jewish People.
Join us as we learn about the customs and traditions.
Four elements important in the celebration include:
– Giving gifts to the poor or charity
(We are asking those of you who would like to contribute to bring an item for the
Foster Closet. A list of needs is at Guest Services.)
– Reading of the Megillah (The Purim story)
– Eating a festive meal ( We will share lots of traditional foods and learn the meaning behind each.)
– Giving food gifts called to friends
Please bring a baked good to trade with other women
Please sign up at Guest services or online by March 5th.
